Everyone in our team at Loy Dental Care is committed to providing the highest level of customer service and clinical excellence that exceeds our patient’s expectations in a relaxed, caring and friendly environment.
One of the many benefits of being a small private practice is that we can make all of our patients feel at home from the moment they enter our practice.
When you walk in, you will meet Denise and Patricia on reception. Both have been with us for years and are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about all things dental!
You will have been told on the phone what to expect when you call to schedule your appointment. If you have any more questions, Denise and Patricia will be happy to answer them.
When you have checked in you can take advantage of the comprehensive range of magazines as well as various pamphlets outlining the many services we offer. We also have children’s books to make sure our younger patients feel at home too!
When you arrive at the practice we will invite you to complete a medical and information questionnaire. This will allow us to gain an initial understanding of your treatment needs. During your first appointment your dentist will carry out a comprehensive examination of your mouth, discuss any problems or concerns you may have and gain an understanding of your expectations.
This will include:
Your dentist will explain the findings from your examination and discuss options with you if any future treatment is needed.
If no follow-up treatment is required, you will be booked in for another check-up in six months, which includes a scale, polish and clean.
During your first visit, you will be requested to complete a dental and medical history questionnaire.
This will be followed by a comprehensive oral health assessment.
Digital photographs, impressions and digital x-rays may be taken if required.
On completion of the examination, we will discuss the findings and explain any dental issues discovered during the examination that need addressing.
Once we have discussed the dental issues, we will then explain the treatment options available to you.
We appreciate that this can take some consideration therefore we are happy for patients to take time to ask questions and ensure that their expectations and budgets are met.
Once we have agreed on a treatment plan, we can proceed with treatment.
Treatment may start on the first appointment if time permits, with priority given to addressing with any teeth causing pain.
At Loy Dental Care we encourage regular dental and hygiene appointments (six monthly) to maintain your oral health.
We will place you on a customised text-reminder service.
